A Life-Changing Experience: Dr. Shefali Batra, an Oasis of Hope

I had always been inspired reading self-help books from my teenage days & always thought how wonderful it would be to receive guidance like this in person, & not through the pages of a book. It took me years later with a teenage son, to come across such a person in Dr. Shefali Batra.

I was very satisfied with my visit (repeated visits) to Dr Shefali. I have been to her office a few times and anytime I have needed she has been available on the phone for audio and video appointments. What I feel helped me best is her empathic style and her care for how I felt. She is a good human being first, and then an excellent doctor. I cannot imagine how it would have been without her. I have seen so many doctors and nobody understood me because I guess nobody had the time to understand me. She discussed every problem in great detail and suggested a solution for even the smallest issue of mine. She is an excellent doctor - both in terms of the medicine she prescribes as well as her therapy.

Before I met Dr Batra, my life was an emotional mess with bipolar disorder. I was drowned in an unnecessary cocktail of medicines, suffering recurring episodes of mania and depression; and I was not really living my life. Through the sessions she identified my mood switch triggers and delved into the root cause of my emotional conflict. Soon the mania and depression episodes diminished in magnitude and intensity. I became more self-aware and mindful. She got me the most stability with the least medicines ever. It’s lovely that she works with her patients in such a collaborative way. I know I will have a better life ahead thanks to her support and guidance.
