Before I Start About My Journey Of CABG let me tell you About My Medical History

I am Civil Engineer and has been diagnosed with Diabetes for more than 25 years. Yes you all read that right 25 years . In 2017 I got First Heart Attack and I was rushed to Bombay hospital and after doing Angiography I had 1 RCA 100% Blockage. So Doc suggested Angioplasty And we agreed and I was discharged after 2 days. In 2022 I got second Attack and once again I went To Bombay Hospital and Dr B C Kalmath said once again there is same Blockage and then we did Angioplasty once again. We were not aware of what was the Heart Pump Rate or anything because we blindly trusted the Doc

. In 2024 the same thing happened and we did Angiography but this time there were 3 Blockages

1 LAD 100%, and the same RCA 100% with just 30% Heart Pumping Rate. Doctor Said the Only Option is Bypass Surgery

My family was devastated and everything just stopped for us and we were just trying to figure it out is it worth the risk to do surgery and then

Dr. Pavan Kumar performed surgery on me successfully on 12th August 2024. On 19th August I was discharged from the hospital. He gave us confidence in that risky situation and guidance even after Surgery Dr Pavan Kumar is very straightforward he will tell things in a crystal clear manner and he provided us with proper POST- CABG Surgery PLAN . Everyone in my family was worried about the wound and stitches as I am diabetic for more than 25 years But Once Again DR Pavan kumar Guidance helped and it was healed within 3 weeks after Surgery.

Now, After 2 months I have started my normal daily life routine and back on track with my office work as well.

In 2004, I came to know that I have BICUSPID AORTIC VALVE with mild stenosis which is commonly congenital valve defect . Dr advised me this defect is only solved by VALVE REPLACEMENT. I used to do ECHO test for the current position of the valve & pressure on heart due to calcification.

In mid year of 2018 I started getting severe pain in my Left arm, valve leaking, palpitations, and severe vertigo.

I took an appointment of Dr Ramakant Panda and met with latest Echo. He told that My Aortic valve is heavily calcified with some Aorta Dilation and need immediate operation(AVR).He suggested me Mechanical Valve to be used as I am quite young only 34 considering the profession. He quoted around 8.00 lacs for AVR in lower class.

I told this news to my family members and freinds. They were like take the second or more opinions before get it operated.

I started to meet Cardiac Surgeon in Mumbai for taking the genuine and sheer opinions.

One of them, suggested me not only AVR but also Aorta will be replaced as it is dilated much and given the quote around Rs 13.00 lacs and also suggested for Tissue Valve that needs to be replaced again after 10 to 15 years. which was quite surprised. I was almost trapped there. But..

I was continuous on web and searching best for me and finally found Dr. Pavan Kumar, SR Cardiac Surgeon with best reviews on web portal and his specific videos on youtube regarding the same. I have acquired much information about the Doctor and was ready to go in Best hands for my life.

But only matter was money as many friends told me that the Lilawati hospital is too costly but go for Dr Pavan Kumar who is really Good.

He saw all the reports and told that only valve replacement is necessary and it is advisable to go with Mechanical Valve. I decided and started the prior procedures and finally got it operated on 08.01.2019 successfully." 2D ECHO and ECG done on 14.01.2019 with fine results(Normal).

Today on 14.01.2019, I will be discharged from the Hospital.
