He then went on to become a Medical officer in the Aravind eye hospital, Tamil Nadu where he got trained in the art of Advanced Phacoemulsification. He later joined the Multinational and world-famous Agarwal eye hospital serving as the anterior and medical retina consultant. He also spent a brief time in Africa serving and catering to the needs of downtrodden. He came back and joined as a glaucoma trainee in one of the oldest eye hospitals of India, MM Joshi eye hospital, Karnataka.He was the principal of the college of optometry and also a junior in charge of the community eye health in the same hospital.
He has an experience of performing thousands of eye surgeries in the subspecialties of Cornea, Glaucoma, Cataract, Refractive and Oculoplasty. He has experience of performing difficult and complicated Cataract and anterior segment surgeries. He takes a special interest in anterior segment reconstruction surgeries.
