He set up his private practice in Ophthalmology at Mulund, Mumbai over 3 decades ago. At a time when people from Mulund used to travel to South Mumbai even for basic eye care, Dr Goyal established Vision Care, a Microsurgery Centre in 1981 and made a niche of his own in the field of Microsurgery, IOLs, Squint, Paediatric Ophthalmology, Intensive Eye Care & Community Ophthalmology. He has many scientific publications to his credit. He has presented a number of papers at conferences at the State, National, and International level. He has been actively been contributing to the National Programme for Prevention of Blindness for more than two decades.
He has been a actively promoting Eye Care Awareness and imparting Health Education through various TV Channels, newspapers, magazines and periodicals.
He has conducted numerous Diagnostic and Operative Eye Camps, all over Maharashtra and even outside the state. Apart from these, he has also conducted Speciality Diagnostic Camps for Diabetic Retinopathy, LASIK, etc.
