This time I had gone to get root canal treatment for Anoushka, our 7 year young girl. I was pretty nervous about how Anoushka would react to the injection and and hour's work with a stable open mouth. But the experience turned out to be like a walk in the park.

Doctor first got talking to my daughter to get friendly with her and to calm her. She asked Anoushka as to what she enjoys watching on TV. And then she started the Tarak Mehta show which got my daughter focus on that. Before giving her an anaesthetic injection, she sprayed something around the tooth to soften and numb the skin so as to make her not feel the injection prick. After giving her local anaesthesia, doctor did a focused work for an hour or more on just one tooth. All the while, she kept Anoushka comfortable with intermittent chats with her.
