I am writing on behalf of my sister Kumud Bhatia, 58 years old & a long time Rheumatoid Arthritis patient.

For almost a decade, Kumud had deformed, painful knee joints & as a result restricted movement. She suffered a fall in September 2019 & required a Total Hip Replacement (THR). The thought of a surgery was terribly scary but we were lucky to have Dr Sanjeev Jain & his team handling it at L H Hiranandani Hospital, Powai. It was most organized, process focused & above all had attention to every little detail.

Besides the complex surgery, Dr Jain handled our fears to ensure Kumud was emotionally strong enough & prepared to deal with the procedure & also the post-operative care required. He did this by keeping communication lines open – clearly explaining the damage, procedure required, post care required, what to expect & above all thoroughly, patiently answering all of our questions. He patiently listened to what we were saying, our concerns & it is a rare quality.

Despite a successful THR, Kumud’s knee joint degeneration & deformity would not allow her to walk comfortably. But she was quite adamant about not doing more corrective surgery. It took several meetings with Dr Jain to give her the confidence to have a Total Knee Replacement (TKR) on both knees & assuage the fears she had on whether she would be able to walk independently. Every time, he took the time to talk to Kumud & clear doubts, repeatedly when necessary, because he genuinely believed a corrective surgery would make her more independent & comfortable. Because of years of pain, Kumud had restricted activity levels & a feeling of hopelessness. He really believed that corrective surgery would allow her to realize her potential so much better – very few medical professionals invest this much time & effort in the emotional wellbeing of their patients.

In Jan 2020, Dr Jain successfully completed TKR on both of Kumud’s knees. It has been 7 months since her 1st surgery. He is as receptive & patient with her questions even now in the follow up appointments & gives her the time she needs to discuss her recovery in detail.

Over & above his professional skills, Dr Jain exudes empathy & positivity. We cannot thank him enough for the interest he took in Kumud’s case, the care he gave & his honest, open communication. When a patient & her family don’t have to worry, they focus better on recovery. Dr Jain works very hard to ensure that the entire treatment & procedure is stress free.

I am a 66 year old woman who was in severe arthritis pain for years. I was myself pretty medically-aware that surgery is the only option for me but was frightened of all the pricks& needles so kept avoiding for the longest period of time. Dr. Sanjeev Jain was referred to me by my elder sister whose left knee replacement surgery was successfully done by him a decade back. For example in my case my being overweight & having the most unexcercised body was a negative but he took a call on each aspect of my treatment like the epidurals, duration of each medicine to be administered, process of healing , physios, rehab tips etc.etc. I consider myself lucky to have reached him last minute for my surgery as I was first getting it done by a South Bombay ( much - hyped) Orthopaedic surgeon but his indifference & slip shod attitude put me off . Just then my sister narrated her happy experience with Dr.Sanjeev Jain and her one statement clicked best with me that ' Dr. Sanjeev Jain is a good & humane Doctor who knows his job very well & walks the talk..'...

Dr.Jain is heading a great team specially Dr.Kurushetra Shah *** ** ************** a committed professional , pleasant mannered and will definitely go places in his field. Overall a highly recommendable experience by me.

The general approach and attitude towards the patient by the Doctor was by and large OK. He appears to be in a hurry to finish off the session. The Dr has not shown much interest to scan through the medical records including the X- ray & MRI results. He was also not very keen to listen to the problems narrated by the patient.

Kept my daughter elbow plaster for six weeks which causes her elbow stiffness. Her elbow skin got infected even when told to doctor during second and third week of treatment regarding smell coming out of plaster. No action taken by doctor then also. Her skin is so much infected that its been two weeks now after her plaster is removed and we are going to hospital every alternate day for dressing of her elbow.

After 5 days days in hospital I came back home and felt much better, I hardly felt any pain.I have been doing all required physiotheraphy and exercises since then.

I have recovered and forgotten about the days when I use to find difficulty in walking and standing. Dr. Jain has given me a new life.He is like God to me who made me stand on my feet.

Nice Hospital with friendly and understanding doctors and staff. As my mother's treatment was not conventional, I needed a Doctor who can understand the problem in her health relative to her earlier treatment. This Hospital was the only hope for her to get painless life after breaking her bone.

It was an very difficult decision of my life to go for Bilateral Hip Replacement as i am suffering from CKD, i met with Dr Sanjeev Jain in the month of January 2020, after seeing my Xray sir suggested for surgery the only option to get rid of high pain which was not allowing me to do my routine activities , i am grateful to Dr Sanjeev Jain & Dr Rajesh Kumar (my Nephrologist) who both stood as pillar to support me, in current scenario of Covid-19 it was even more difficult decision to go for surgery, i kept the full faith on Dr Sanjeev Jain who acted as God to me & we decided of Both Hip replacement on 29th April 2020, i would say i was scary before surgery even i asked Dr Sanjeev Jain sir i am getting nervous he said don't worry Beta all will be good we are here to take care of you, post surgery my Hip pain got immediately vanish, i started walking from 2nd day, i would say patient always feels comfort when Dr gives positive vibes this quality is present in Dr Sanjeev Jain he handled the case as if it is his personal responsibility i was really impressed when he told my father you gave your son to us now he is our asset till he is back to normal then we will handover him to you plz don't worry........ Dr Sanjeev Jain has been our go-to doctor for all Orthopedic issues for over 12 years now. It started with me having a spondylitis issue 12 years ago. With his treatment it has been completely cured. Well this was just the start of our association with Dr Jain.

He treated my mom for a hip fracture and my mother in law with both knee replacements. Both the Mom's in my life are Hail & Hearty.

Dr Jain is simple in his explanations, choice of words are non medical so easily understandable. He is extremely approachable and true to his word. I have known dr Jain since 2007 when he first did Hip replacement surgery for me .

His efficiency and orthopaedic skills were evident then .

I had to undergo a revision surgery of the same this year and was a bit apprehensive , to go through it at my age. I'm 65 now. He was extremely understanding and explained to me every detail of the surgery. His confidence rubbed off on me and the surgery was a success. It's been six months now and I am doing absolutely fine. So much so , that at times I forget I even had this surgery done. I can now walk , and even swim without pain or discomfort . Thanks to this very efficient , and friendly Dr Sanjeev Jain.

1st visit- Xray reports were clear. Doc asked to meet after 3 days since on the 1st visit, ** ***** *** ******* ** ******** **** ** ********** ******

2nd visit- Comes in 45 mins late and takes a patient who he already knew. After more than 1 hour I enter into his cabin, he does not even let me sit and asks me to get an MRI. I told him that we will receive the scans after 1 hour of the MRI but he asked to come only with the full report which comes after 2 days. ***** ** ********* ****** ** *** ** **** ** *** ********* ** ******* ** *** ******* *** ***** **** ******* ********* ******** In spite of knowing the fact that I had a travel plan just after 2 weeks.

3rd visit- Had an appointment of 10.10 am. He had a surgery scheduled at 9am, yet the hospital called at 10.05 am to inform about the same. As if every patient lives only 5 mins away. He came in after 12 pm. When my turn came and I went inside his cabin, he asked me to wait since he wanted to reply to a mail. He examined me, read the MRI report and prescribed physiotherapy. He recommended a doc from Hiranandani hospital itself.
