After seeing 5 Psychiatrists, I met Dr. Anand and in the very first session noticed his treatment approach is completely different to the previous ones. He gives a good ear, understands his patients well and his diaognosis is on point. Unlike others, without going over your symptoms again and again, he just picks up all the underlying issues and the diaognosis is on point. His detailed explanation in simple terms makes one feel better itself in each session. His Psychotherapy is as if you are telling yourself the issues you have and also the solution to all the problems at root cause. He randomly just doesn't prescribe a whole lot of medicines without getting to the root cause of the problem. His clinic has a calm and soothing set up. After 11 years of major depression, for the first time in just 10 days I feel a positive change overall in me. He gives a minimum of 30 mins to each patient and is in no hurry. Overall his treatment is holistic and has a positive impact after each session. I would definitely recommend him for all mental health issues and his assurance to cure is a very positive energy for the mind and body. Unlike others, you don't leave his clinic with a long list of medicines just prescribed based on your symptoms but with a lease of fresh positive energy and look forward to the next session. His years of experience and treatment approach is felt in the very first meeting. I have visited a few different professionals over the past few months, but none came even close to matching the insight Dr. Anand provided me in a single session, and this is not even an exaggeration. I have so far had 3 sessions, and can see a visible difference in myself. I fully intend to pursue my goals with his guidance, and want to share the wonderful experience that made me decide this, below:

I really appreciate how heard I felt, there was no rushing me or questioning me. I didn't feel judged, I could share what was on my mind without interrupting the flow. That itself helped a lot, because I'd not been able to do that before.

What Dr. Rajiv said about throwing away labels and stop presenting as a patient, really stood out to me. I paraphrase here some of what he said that has impressed itself upon my mind - that we are all learning, we just need to develop emotional stability, and to grow, to learn to break the patterns we unconsciously fall into. Once we develop the skills to handle our thoughts and emotions, it's something that will stay with us for life and always help. This is what counselling helps with, and adding personal effort and medicines makes a trifecta that will ensure we are in charge of our thoughts, emotions, feelings, and present.

This perspective was something new I'd never heard before, and I feel like the scales fell from my eyes. I found this such an invaluable lesson. I immediately felt more confident and hopeful, motivated even. Each session has brought with it further invaluable understanding which I have assimilated into my core values.

I now feel like I can look to the future, while living in the present, and carrying the past in my heart without dwelling on it. I look forward to our future sessions. And if anyone is in doubt about approaching Dr. Anand, take it from me, do not hesitate and just go for it. You'll find it to be one of the best decisions you could take for your own well being.
