I underwent a hair transplant surgery with Dr. Rajesh Rajput in 2011 in his clinic in Mumbai. I had consulted with him previously at the Hiranandani hospital and also at his clinic before planning the surgery. I underwent a Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) procedure, which is the more traditional method. Both the doctor and I agreed that 1500 grafts should be good to cover the bald patch The results of the procedure has been horrible, not even a single hair has grown. Additionally, he has done a very poor job in removing the thin strip from the donor area. So, I am left with a very large scar and no growth at all. He also did not give any indication of how big the scar this method would leave. Had I known this, I would have perhaps gone for the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) procedure, He also did not indicate that the probability of success in the central area, where my bald patch was, is very low.

During the initial consultation phase, I found him to be agreeable, but during the surgery I found him to be extremely arrogant and he would not answer my questions in a friendly manner. He was only thinking about the fees, and would not give proper advice.

I do not recommend Dr. Rajput plainly because of his poor planning of the transplantation, insufficient guidance and shoddy work around the donor area. Results may not be positive always, but you can tell that the doctor did not do his job by the way he has done the transplantation. In this case, Dr. Rajput has failed. So, my thumbs down!
