My cycle accident happened on a Sunday afternoon. Fell on the mouth and the lips, teeth and the chin got devastated with streams of blood gushing out. Managed to visit a big Hospital's Emergency section. They wasted a lot of time trying to find out which surgeon can operate on me and when. They wanted me to be admitted without any indication on what immediate actions will follow. At such a time I contacted Dr. Prashant Murugkar, who asked me to immediately come over to the KLS Memorial Hospital where he will try making alternate arrangements even though the Operation Theatre was closed.

When I reached out there I was pleasantly surprised to see how he had converted a general patient room to a operation thestre with head mounted lamps and other surgery kits. He had managed to not only got his assistants but he also had some doctor and students attending. Without wasting time on formalities he got started immediately by giving four local anaesthesia injections himself.

He spent the initial hour cleaning up the mess both inside and outside the mouth. There were fragments of the broken teeth embedded in the lips. Not only that, the first aid cotton fibres had also got mixed up in the wounds. He dexterously managed all that while telling students in between, the salient points.

A Master at work, he was also a picture of concern and humbleness during the operation. Always apologizing before hand on where a procedure could hurt and querying whether I was feeling OK before moving ahead. Even though all the ideal surgical tools were not available at that time, he still improvised such that there was no compromise.

When it came to suture time he became like a Renaissance painter, going over his artwork again and again till he was satisfied. He kept asking opinions of others around although he knew what he was doing bery well. He described the importance of preserving the characteristic Cupid's bow on the upper lip and the furrow in the centre.

Towards the end of the 3 hour of his passionate session, the anaesthesia started to wear off. But such was his devotion to the art-at-hand that I didn't feel the pain as pain but a help towards the maestro's artwork.

It was 9:30 pm and yet there was something which he wanted to attend to as part of his holistic concern. He made an impromptu plaster for my left fractured hand till an ortho could have a look at it the next day.

The hospital formalities were completed after he had left. This was the first time we have seen an idealistic thing like this actually happening.

I discovered later on at that he had to leave for Coorg early next morning with his family. He didn't let that come in the way. The world needs more such passionate professionals to resurrect the faith.

Later when I met other doctors in course of my other treatment, I could see them enviously studying the artwork and remarking that only an accomplished cosmetic surgeon could have done that.

Dr. Prashant kept advising through WhatsApp, even though he was in his vacation, on the daily cleaning procedures and medicine for healing to be perfect.

Six days after he took off the stitches, it is difficult for anyone to make out the gruesome state before. Adroit hands can make miracles happen.

Like to share my amazing experience with Dr Prashant Murugkar for tummy tuck. After giving birth to 2 children i still looked pregnant even after delivery. I visited a physician he suggested me a routine ultrasound I had a Rectus Divarication which was 8cms big which was picked up on an ultrasound which was giving the bulky look. He guided me through the whole process.Apart from a doctor he is a gem of a person .He Showed me his exceptional work. The one thing I was worried about the was the scar as I had both normal deliveries so was worried about the scar but Dr Prashant showed me his before and after and I was happy and thought of giving it a try. I got tummy tuck done 6 months back and am very happy with the result I have a very flat tummy as good as I never delivered.I can wear all the clothes which i refrain from for 6 long years 😊. Dr Prashant Murugkar has a gr8 team there were frequent follow up he was always reachable if I had a query or doubts post surgery. He also does botox, fillers I earlier use to do it with a dermatologist but since I had shifted to him there has been no bruising and gr8 results.

I have undergone surgery for gynecomastia with Dr. Prashant in month on January. In the first appointment itself doctor explained the problem to me and suggested minor surgery to resolve it. The surgery was done well and the post surgery symptoms were exactly the way doctor had informed me about before. We had first check up after a week, then after a month and then after three months. At each check up doctor gave me right advice to help with reducing the swelling and getting the best result from surgery. 6 months on, now i am very confident with my body, which i wasnt before treatment. Would very much recommend Dr. Prashant as his experience speaks through his words and treatment.

One advice i would give to all seeking treatment for gynecomastia, never choose your doctor in hurry as surgeries are no joke. You must have the right doctor in case something goes wrong during the treatment, which Dr. Prashant definitely was during mine. Would like to thank Dr. Prashant for his help throughout, i would definitely recommend him.

The doctor is just good in talking. He prescribes medicines without understanding the skin type. I think he is just experimenting..

I went to him for treatment of my acne scars (which were basically open pores) in around April 2015. He prescribed me a face wash, a creme containing sorbic acid, a sunscreen lotion and a moisturizer. I followed his prescription with utmost dedication for 15 days after which I was given another appointment. Before the treatment I had just a few specks here and there but after applying the prescribed medicines, I got so many acne - the size of blisters and my face complexion became very dark and the skin became very rough. I went to him after 15 days and he suggested me to continue applying the same medicines as he felt that was the initial reaction of my skin. Another 15 days gone and he prescribed me new medicines (The medicines prescribed by dermats are quite expensive). After another 15 days, when I went to him again with my face almost unrecognizable due to the big acne and blemishes and the dark and rough skin, he suggested me to have a chemical peel (again a huge impact on my pocket). The chemical peel was done by his receptionist-cum-attendant. After the chemical peel my skin was so dry, rough and dark. My skin before this treatment was far better. Its almost been 4 months that I stopped using his treatment but I have still not regained my original looks. I would suggest not to visit this doctor. Its just a waste of time and money and the adverse impact is very long lasting.

When Dr explains a treatment it shows he is experienced in that particular treatment, the way its done, what methods are used, safety being the priority for the patient, when will you see the effects of the treatment the visibility of the treatment, everything is explained it detail.

He or his team do not push you for doing something or upselling but indeed he will tell you whats Best that suits the skin, the face structure, the body. But to do so, as a patient explain the realistic scenarios, your work life, diet, habits that is your routine, excessive stress which may or may not affect the treatment. Just like any other treatment you have to ensure that you give accurate information of your daily routine and the changes you expect from the treatment

From a patient's perspective do keep in mind, he is a Doctor and not God.. Be realistic of what you want and be honest with the treatment your expecting, even if it means you have read something about a treatment or being refferred by another Dr. irrespective to it, Dr. Murugkar will guide you accordingly.

He uses the best of available medication and technology for doing all the treatments and those are much safer compared to any aesthetic clinics I have been too so far.

On the side effects of a particular treatment, as any experienced Dr would suggest and make a patient aware, Dr Murugkar also follows the same patterns which reflects his ability to be honest to his patients.

I was 110kg when I first visited him for tummy tuck so he suggested me for weight loss and steam lined diet after 4 months my weight came to 90kg so i went ahead for tummy tuck and the results very fabulous beyond expectation as i had a very bulging tummy it just use to hang i was triple excel before the surgery then came to just excel. I had come to remove excess fat from my upper body especially tummy and breast region. The doctor suggested liposuction treatment. The overall experience was very pleasant. Dr. Prashant was extremely helpful in suggesting the correct treatment. I had travelled here from Melbourne for a limited period of 2 weeks only and he ensured that my treatment is done within that time-frame with ample number of days to recover before I fly back. Dr Prashant Murugkar has a wonderful personality and bedside manner, and was very happy to spend a lot of personal time with me, making sure that I was taken care of both in and out of the hospital.
