Dr Ashok Hande has been practicing neurosurgery for the past 32 years. My daughter met an accident and got brain injury in November 2019. We are residents of Navi Mumbai but for urgent and best treatment shifted her to chembur. She was in ICU under observation and unconscious. Next day morning blood clot reported in citi scan. She required immediate surgery for her survival.
We started to look for expert Neurosurgeon who can operate immediately to save her. From the doctor's we got the reference of Dr. Hande . When contacted Sir were busy in surgery in Apollo Hospital. He told us to shift the patient to Apollo hospital Belapur where he is comfortable and operating regularly. But shifting of patient was risky we requested Doctor to operate in Chembur.
After completing his surgery in Belapur Doctor Hande immediately rushed to operate my daughter in chembur.
My daughter is lucky to have Dr. Hande for her surgery and after surgery she recovered very fast under his guidance.

Patient admitted to Apollo Hospital Belapur on 11th March 2019 on an emergency basis. Dr. Ashok Hande advised emergency surgery based on MRI. On 12th March 2019 Dr Ashok Hande did brain surgery and told us that surgery is successful and tumor is removed. Also he told us that sample of tumor is sent for biopsy and report will be available in a weeks time. On 13th March, Dr Ashok Hande told one more surgery need to be done to remove the swelling. We didn’t have choice other than to accept. Dr Ashok Hande conducted one more surgery on 14th March 2019 and after surgery he told us that the surgery is successful and Patient is responding very well.
Dr Ashok Hande advised for three days ICU and thereafter will be shifted to ward. On 19th March 2019, Dr Ashok Hande told us that patient will be discharged on tomorrow and after one month Apollo team will advise for next treatment if required. We were of the opinion that the things are under control.
Patient discharged from Apollo Hospital Belapur on 20th March 2019. We were expecting Apollo Hospital team will be advising us on Histopathology report and further treatment.
By this stage while discharging on 20th March 2019, total amount collected from us by Apollo Belapur was more than Rs 7 Lacs.
Unfortunately, they have not even bothered to share the preliminary report also.
On 23rd March, when we approached Apollo Hospital Belapur for Histopathology report, first they gave me preliminary report and asked for additional fees for final Histopathology report. When we shared the proof of advance payment against Histopathology, the Apollo team shared the report. It was diagnosed as STAGE IV Cancer.
