It's a privilege to know Dr.Bhurke and to me in my words I would say he is an angel and I thank God for giving us such doctors who I believe make the profession nobel. I am forever indebted to Dr. Bhurke for his treatment and guidance to my husband for his Chronic kidney disease for the past two years. In this month October 10th 2023 my husband had to do his creatine test and when he saw his report he was shocked to see it rise to 9.7. We rushed to Dr. Bhurke to save him. My husband started crying like a baby looking at Doctor asking him to bring it down. Dr. Bhurke without hesitating told him that he will do his best and see that he doesn't get into Dialysis. And so as he said he did it and saved my husbands life bringing the creatine down to 5.8 in just 6 days from the time of his admission. He is sent home and he is under Dr. Bhurkes treatment still going on. Thank God for giving us such a good doctor and it's a miracle too. A big thank you to Dr. Bhurke for always being there whenever we need you. God bless you always. We all love you very much.. 🙏🙏

I am Anand Tanawade serving in cruise line. In 2018 during routine check up minor problem in creatinine and GFR (power of kidney) was found. I met Dr. Sandip Bhurke for kidney check up. He controlled my blood pressure and uric acid. Doctor also gave kidney supportive medicine. My reports became normal. I am now on once a year regular OPD follow up at Prabhakar Bhurke Clinic. For the GFR I do once a year special nuclear DTPA scan test.

Dr. Sandip Bhurke replied

Nephrologist Doctors are also Hypertension Specialist Doctors. Hypertension and Kidney are inter dependent. Hypertension damages Kidneys. Kidney disease causes Hypertension. Medical Research has also found a link between uric acid and Blood Pressure. Especially in Pregnancy induced Hypertension PIH, uric acid rise in reports correlates to worser outcomes for other pregnant mother and in utero fetus. Uric acid is related to blood pressure and directly Kidneys also. Worser uric acid leads to gout and kidney damage. This patient had a triangle of high uric acid , high blood pressure and high creatinine. On supportive medicines, powders and uric acid treatment with febuxostat, slowly all three were normalized. BP medicines were able to be reduced. Stoppage if uric acid treatment , leads to rebound in uric acid levels to high levels. Hence, uric acid treatment in lower dose or alternate day is continued even if uric acid blood report is normal.

Visited Dr. Sandip Bhurke (Nephrologist/Renal Specialist) For Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)

Visited Dr. Burke two months back. He asked me to get 20+ tests done (he has precompiled list of all the test with him )to find out the issue. These test cost me around 25K.

On next visited he checked those reports and asked me consult with one of his friend doctor.

I didn't visit to him or his doctor friend after that.

Nephrologist Doctors get visits from urine infection patients with recurrent infections or long standing Urinary Tract Infections. Males getting Urinary infections is rare and needs more testing and further referral to Urologist Doctor if required. Majority of Urinary Tract Infection in India are Resistant to common antibiotics. Nephrologists treat the infections , and also , investigate to find cause of the UTI. This is a list including presence or absence of diabetes mellitus i.e. 3 tests of FBS PLBS HbA1c, and HIV status. Few tests may be required to be repeated, to check trend of reports. Private parts of males are checked by male doctors, while , female patients are referred to Gynecologist Doctors for private examination and Pap Smear for local vaginal infection. Detailed sonography examination includes 3 types i.e. prevoid and postvoid Urinary residue in Urinary bladder and also prostate sonography in male patients. If any Structural Abnormality is found in the Investigations, including prostate, high postvoid residue, Severe cystitis, etc. , then referral is done to Urologist doctor for further opinion. These cases are medically termed as Complicated UTI, and requires correction of structural Abnormality to reduce or prevent Recurrence. If financial capacity is less, Dr Bhurke usually recommends initial testing at low cost charitable laboratories or in free public hospitals, as feasible. Dr Bhurke accepts reports from all laboratories. I would strongly recommend for this particular patient to visit my colleague or any Urologist Doctor of their choice, to complete the consultation of Complicated UTI Urinary Tract Infection. Repeated infections can lead to Sepsis severe infections and / or gradual damage to both kidneys termed as CPN chronic pyelonephritis.
