Positivity in a given situation can win more than half the battle. Life can be smooth and simple, and all you need to do is identify ways in which you can achieve that goal. As a therapist, it is important for me to empower individuals with strength and positivity because Empowerment is what we all need to sustain during a life situation. Introspection and gaining awareness are the first steps towards gaining insight and change. Understanding your thoughts, emotions and actions in relation to the situation then becomes an important step in solving the problem. My work centers primarily on finding a solution to the problem by examining and challenging various nonfunctional aspects of our thought process and simplifying them. I have extensive experience working with young adults, adults, couples and families in a variety of settings. My counselling orientation is eclectic in nature. I use various techniques from CBT, dialectical behavior therapy, family therapy, existential and gestalt therapy. I am also trained in handling concerns related to adult and child sexual abuse.
