He worked as a faculty at PGIMER, Chandigarh for nearly three decades.He is an expert in the field of gastrointestinal and liver diseases (including hepatitis B and C, fatty liver disease) and specialzes in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, biliary and pancreatic diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, acid peptic disease, celiac disease, diarrhoea and irritable bowel syndrome and other gastrointestinal disorders.
