Description
Vegaz OD 1200 mg Tablet is a medicine used for the treatment of ulcerative colitis, a condition that causes swelling and ulcers (sores) in the lining of the large intestine and rectum. It works by blocking the production of certain chemicals that cause swelling and helps in relieving the symptoms such as stomach pain, diarrhoea, and rectal bleeding. Vegaz OD 1200 mg Tablet has some side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, gas, sweating, dry mouth, etc. These side effects may subside by themselves. However, consult your doctor if they bother you for a long time or become severe. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Vegaz OD 1200 mg Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. The dose and duration of treatment will be determined by your doctor depending on the severity of your condition. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Take it at the same time every day for the ease of remembering and for better results. Blood disorder

Consult your doctor immediately if you experience unexplained bleeding, bruising, red or purple discoloured spots on the skin, fever, sore throat, etc.

Heart disorder

In rare cases, Vegaz OD 1200 mg Tablet may cause myocarditis (swelling of the heart muscles) or pericarditis (irritation and swelling of the thin, sac-like tissue surrounding the heart). Hence it should be used with caution if you have heart problems.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose of Vegaz OD 1200 mg Tablet as soon as you remember. However, skip the missed dose if it is time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Never take more than the recommended dose of Vegaz OD 1200 mg Tablet. Seek emergency medical treatment in case of an overdose.
