Description
Tinipidi I.V. 2 MG Infusion is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent used in the treatment of various infections such as trichomoniasis, amoebiasis, giardiasis, bacterial vaginosis, caused by protozoa and certain strains of anaerobic bacteria. Consumption of alcohol is not recommended while receiving this medicine.

General warnings

Blood cell count

Use of this medicine may lower the blood cell count and may lead to leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and bone marrow aplasia. Close monitoring of WBC count, platelets is necessary. Discontinue the treatment if any signs of low blood cell count appear.

Neurologic Toxicity

Use of this medicine may cause neurological effects like convulsions and peripheral neuropathy. Inform the doctor if you have any neurological problems. Any symptoms of convulsions, tingling or burning sensation of hands and feet should be reported to the doctor.

Liver Disease

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with liver diseases due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Regular monitoring of liver function, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Dialysis

The desired effect of this medicine is not achieved in dialysis patients. It is necessary to schedule the dose for administration after dialysis procedure or supplemental doses can be given after dialysis
