Description
Thioquest D (50/4 mg) Capsule is a combination of Diclofenac and Thiocolchicoside. This medicine is used to treat pain and swelling associated with muscle spasms in conditions such as low back pain, neck pain, sprains/strains, etc. Thioquest D (50/4 mg) Capsule may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhoea, dizziness, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or if they become severe. Thioquest D (50/4 mg) Capsule should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Take it at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of this medicine in your body. Thioquest D (50/4 mg) Capsule is not recommended if you are allergic to it. This medicine is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. Inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, heart problems, or a history of stomach ulcers before starting treatment with this medicine. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.

Allergy

Gastrointestinal bleeding

Peptic ulcers are sores on the inner lining of your stomach and intestine which may lead to bleeding. Symptoms may include blood in stools/vomit, black coloured stool, and cramps in your stomach. Thioquest D (50/4 mg) Capsule is not recommended for use if you have an active ulcer or a history of peptic ulcers and/or bleeding as it may worsen your condition.

Severe Liver/Kidney Impairment

Thioquest D (50/4 mg) Capsule is not recommended for use if you have severe liver and/or kidney problems. This medicine may further damage your liver and/or kidneys and worsen your condition.

Asthma

Asthma is a condition in which your airways narrow and causes breathing difficulty. Thioquest D (50/4 mg) Capsule is not recommended for use if you have a history of asthma after taking NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines like Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Aceclofenac, etc.).

Thioquest D (50/4 mg) Capsule is not recommended for use during pregnancy as it may cause severe side effects in your developing foetus.

Breast-feeding

Thioquest D (50/4 mg) Capsule passes into breastmilk and may cause severe side effects in your infant. If you are breastfeeding, this medicine is not recommended.

Fluid retention (water retention) occurs when excess fluids build up under your skin. This can cause oedema (swelling), which often occurs in your feet, ankles, and legs. Thioquest D (50/4 mg) Capsule may increase your risk of this condition and should be used with caution if you have a history of fluid retention, high blood pressure, or heart failure. Close monitoring of your blood pressure and heart function is recommended during the initiation of treatment and throughout the course of therapy.
