Tazobactam

Description

Tazobactam is an antibiotic used for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria. This medicine is used in combination with other antibiotics, usually when more commonly used systemic antibiotics may be ineffective due to bacterial resistance (bacteria do not respond to medicine). It works by making the bacteria more sensitive to antibiotics. Tazobactam rarely has side effects. The side effects depend on the combination of medicine used along with this medicine. The common side effects that rarely occur with this medicine may be nausea, vomiting, etc. Tazobactam is usually administered in the hospital or clinical setting by a qualified healthcare professional. Take the complete course of injections given by your doctor even if you feel well. Tazobactam is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor about all your health problems including all the medicines you use. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before using this medicine.
