Description
Sicriptin 10 mg Tablet is a dopamine receptor agonist, which helps in the treatment of Parkinson's Disease. It should be used with caution in patients with heart diseases. It is advised not to take this medicine while breastfeeding due to the decrease in the breast milk production.

General warnings

Hypotension

This medicine may alter the blood pressure, especially while increasing the dose, and increases the risk of orthostatic hypotension. Close monitoring of blood pressure is necessary. The dose should be reduced if the symptoms worsen.

WIthdrawal effects

This medicine should not be stopped immediately without informing the doctor as it may cause neuroleptic malignant syndrome-like symptoms like fever, muscular rigidity, altered mental status. It is advised to decrease the dose gradually based on the clinical condition.

Psychosis

This medicine is known to cause psychotic symptoms like hallucinations, confusion, anxiety, depression. It should be used with caution in patients with nervous system disorders. Close monitoring of symptoms of depression and suicidal thoughts is necessary.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
