Pheniramine

Description

Pheniramine is an antihistamine with a little sedative action. It is used to prevent or treat allergic reactions like hay fever or urticaria caused by pollen, dust, or animal hair. Use of this medicine in children under the age of 5 years is not recommended.

Allergy

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to Pheniramine.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate) since taking the medicine may result in further difficulty in passing urine.

Antidepressants

Use of This medicine along with antidepressants of MAO inhibitors class like selegiline or rasagiline is not recommended since this combination may lead to prolonged adverse effects like dryness of mouth, constipation, urinary retention, and blurred vision.

General warnings

Warning

Do not use the medication for anything other than the indicated use or more than the prescribed dose. Do not take this medication after the expiry date shown on the packet/label.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

Description

Pheniramine may increase the CNS depression effects caused by alcohol.
