Description
Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet is a combination of Diclofenac and Serratiopeptidase. It is used as a pain reliever in the treatment of diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (pain and swelling in the small joints), ankylosing spondylitis (fusion of small bones in your spine), and osteoarthritis (wearing off of the flexible tissues at the ends of your bones). It is also used to treat migraine headaches and other mild to moderate pain (muscle pain, menstrual pain, backache, toothache, earache, and throat pain). Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet works by blocking the release of prostaglandin (a chemical substance responsible for causing pain and swelling). Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet has some side effects like stomach pain, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, indigestion, and heartburn. However, these side effects can be prevented by taking the medication with milk or a meal. Inform your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen. Alcohol intake is not recommended as it may result in side effects such as dizziness and stomach and/or intestinal bleeding. Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet should be taken as per the instructions given by your doctor. Avoid taking more or less than the recommended dose. Take it for the recommended duration for best results. Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use if you have peptic ulcer(s) or have undergone bypass surgery. Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding, high blood pressure, or any problems with your heart, kidneys, or liver. Also, inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking since they may affect or be affected by this medication. Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet is unsafe for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Hence, consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding.

Allergy

Inform your doctor if you have a history of ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding.

Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG)

Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery is a surgical procedure that increases blood flow to the heart. Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use in such patients as it may increase the chances of heart attack or stroke.

General warnings

Gastrointestinal bleeding

Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet may cause severe bleeding and ulcers in the linings of the digestive tract after prolonged usage. These side effects may occur with or without any warning or symptoms. This risk is especially higher in the elderly population and in people with a history of gastrointestinal diseases.

Long-term use

Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet should not be taken for more than 4 weeks unless prescribed by your doctor as the safety and efficacy of long-term use are not clinically established.

Surgery

The use of Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet should be stopped at least 10-14 days before a scheduled surgery since it may increase the risk of bleeding during and/or after the procedure.

Liver diseases

Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet should be used with caution if you have liver problems as this medicine may damage your liver further leading to severe side effects. Your doctor may suggest tests to monitor your liver function.

Kidney diseases

Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet should be used with caution in people suffering from kidney problems. Long term use of this medicine can lead to progressive kidney damage

Children

Missed Dose

Asthma

Asthma is a disorder in which your airways constrict and swell, causing more mucus production. Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use in people with a known history of asthma. This medicine can trigger an asthmatic attack.

Fluid Retention and oedema

Fluid Retention and oedema are swelling of the lower layer of skin caused by excessive fluid trapped beneath your body tissues. The use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet has been associated with fluid retention and oedema. In individuals with preexisting fluid retention, hypertension (high blood pressure), or a history of heart failure, Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet should be used with caution. Blood pressure and heart functions should be regularly monitored during the course of treatment.

Gastro-Intestinal toxicity

Gastrointestinal toxicity is a condition characterised by symptoms like nausea, vomiting, indigestion, stomach pain, etc. Long term use of Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet may cause damage to the stomach and intestine.

Skin rash

Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet may cause severe skin allergy in some people, often without any warning. Rashes, hives (painful eruptions that itch and sting), and other allergy symptoms should be reported to your doctor immediately.

Impaired kidney function

Nimulase-D (50/10 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use if you have pre-existing kidney problems as this medicine can worsen your condition.

Bleeding disorders
