Description
Nemunac 100 MG Suspension is a medicine that contains Nimesulide. It is used to treat acute pain associated with osteoarthritis (a type of arthritis that occurs when flexible tissue at the ends of bones wears down) and menstruation. It is also used to treat mild to moderate pain caused due to sprains and strains of joints and muscles. Nemunac 100 MG Suspension works by decreasing the intensity of pain signals to the brain and preventing the release of substances called prostaglandins in the brain that cause pain and fever. It can provide relief from pain and swelling due to arthritic conditions but does not cure it. Nemunac 100 MG Suspension has some side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, loss of appetite, skin rash and diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. It may cause dizziness. Hence, avoid driving vehicles or operating machines after taking this medicine. Do not consume alcohol while using this medicine as it may worsen drowsiness. Nemunac 100 MG Suspension is to be taken after food or milk to avoid stomach upset. Nemunac 100 MG Suspension may not be suitable for all people. It is not recommended for use if you have liver and kidney problems as it can worsen your condition. Also, this medicine is not recommended for use if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding Nemunac 100 MG Suspension is not recommended for children below 12 years of age.

General warnings

Gastro-intestinal bleeding

Long-term use of Nemunac 100 MG Suspension can cause damage to the stomach and intestine. Serious conditions like bleeding, ulceration, and perforation of the stomach or intestinal wall can occur. Any symptom indicating ulceration and bleeding like chronic indigestion, the appearance of coffee coloured dry blood in stools or vomiting of blood should be reported to your doctor immediately.

Heart disease

Long term use of Nemunac 100 MG Suspension may increase the risk of a heart attack if you have pre-existing heart conditions or heart failure. It is not used for treating pain after coronary bypass surgery.

Use in elderly

Nemunac 100 MG Suspension should be used with caution in the elderly population due to an increase in the risk of undesired side effects. Monitoring of kidney, liver and heart function and also symptoms of bleeding is necessary while receiving this medicine.

Use in children

Nemunac 100 MG Suspension is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age as the safety and efficacy data is not available.

Driving and operating heavy machines

Nemunac 100 MG Suspension may cause dizziness, confusion, or disorientation. Hence, do not perform activities such as driving vehicles or operating machines if you experience any of these symptoms after taking this medicine.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose of Nemunac 100 MG Suspension as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

Overdose
