Description
Nactal Capsule is a medicine that consists of Acetylcysteine and Ambroxol. It is used for the treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (a lung condition that obstructs the flow of air to your lungs) associated with abnormal mucous secretion. This medicine relieves chest congestion by reducing the thickness of mucous, making it easier to it cough out. Nactal Capsule has some side effects like nausea, vomiting, throat irritation, runny nose, fever, stomach pain, dry mouth, and diarrhoea. These side effects are mild and may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects worsen or bother you. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it. Nactal Capsule should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. The dose and duration depend on the severity of your condition. It can be taken with or without food. Avoid taking more than the prescribed dose as it may lead to undesirable effects. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better after taking a few doses as the symptoms may reappear. Nactal Capsule is not recommended for use in children below six years of age as the safety data for use are not available. Inform your doctor if you have any stomach, liver, or kidney problems. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant and breastfeeding before taking this medicine.

Acute asthma

Asthma is a condition in which your airways narrow and swell and may produce extra mucus. Nactal Capsule should be used with caution if you have asthma. Your doctor may adjust the dose of this medicine or prescribe a suitable alternative medicine based on your condition.

Allergic skin reaction

Use of Nactal Capsule may cause severe allergic reactions like Lyell's syndrome (severe peeling and blister on your skin). Liver/kidney diseases

Antitussives
