Monotrate 30 MG Tablet SR

Manufactured bySun Pharma Laboratories Ltd.
Description
Monotrate 30 MG Tablet SR is a medicine used to prevent and treat angina. Angina is chest pain that occurs when your heart muscle does not get a sufficient amount of oxygen-rich blood. It is caused due to narrowing of blood vessels that carries blood to the heart. This medicine works by relaxing the blood vessels, thus improving blood flow to the heart and decreasing workload of the heart. Monotrate 30 MG Tablet SR shows common side effects such as headache, flushing (redness of the face or neck), or dizziness upon standing. These side effects usually subside with time. However, if they persist or worsen, consult your doctor for further assistance. Avoid driving vehicles or operating heavy machines if you feel dizzy while taking this medicine. Monotrate 30 MG Tablet SR may be taken with or without food. Follow the instructions given by your doctor about the dose and duration of treatment. Take the medication at the same time every day for ease of remembering. Avoid the consumption of alcohol while taking the medicine due to the increased risk of side effects. Avoid discontinuing the medication without consulting your doctor, as it can worsen your condition. Monotrate 30 MG Tablet SR is not recommended if you are allergic to it. It should not be taken together with medicines used for sexual function problems (such as Sildenafil, Tadalafil, and Vardenafil), as it can cause a significant drop in blood pressure leading to unconsciousness. It is not recommended if you experience early signs of heart attack (chest pain, pain or discomfort spreading to your jaw, neck, shoulder, arm, or back, sweating, nausea, tiredness, and sudden dizziness). Monotrate 30 MG Tablet SR should be avoided if you have a heart condition causing thickening of the heart muscles, severe hypotension (low blood pressure), severe anaemia (low red blood cell count), and severely impaired blood flow to the brain. It should be used with caution if you have low blood pressure, glaucoma (an eye condition that may occur due to increased pressure inside the eyes), kidney conditions, or if you have had a head injury. Monotrate 30 MG Tablet SR should be used in pregnancy after consulting your doctor. It is unknown if the medicine passes into breastmilk. Hence, consult your doctor before taking the medicine if you are breastfeeding.
