Description
Metron 500 MG Infusion is an antibiotic medicine that contains Metronidazole. It is used in the treatment of infections of the stomach, intestines, liver, lungs, heart, vagina, and skin. It is also used in the combination with other antibiotics in surgical prophylaxis. This medicine acts by killing the bacteria and preventing the spread of infection. Metron 500 MG Infusion may show some common side effects such as pain at the site of injection, dizziness, stomach ache, diarrhoea, metallic taste in the mouth, etc. These side effects may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if they bother you for a longer time or worsen. Do not consume alcohol during therapy with Metron 500 MG Infusion as this may cause serious side effects. Do not receive this infusion if you are allergic to it. Metron 500 MG Infusion is administered intravenously by a healthcare professional in a hospital setting. Hence, do not self administer. The dose and the duration of the treatment will be decided by your doctor based on your condition. Abrupt discontinuation may make this medicine ineffective when used for future infections.
