Megestone 10 mg Tablet is a type of female hormone with similar action to the naturally-occurring progesterone (a chemical substance produced by the ovaries in women, which helps regulate the menstrual cycle). It is used for the treatment of menstrual disorders such as heavy, irregular, and prolonged periods. This medicine works by correcting the hormonal imbalance in the body. Megestone 10 mg Tablet shows side effects like headache, nausea, stomach pain, vaginal spotting, dizziness, and breast tenderness. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen. Megestone 10 mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it as directed by the doctor. Avoid taking more or less than the recommended dose. Megestone 10 mg Tablet is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it or have active liver problems, breast cancer, or undiagnosed vaginal bleeding.
