Humalog 100 IU Cartridge

Manufactured byELI LILLY AND COMPANY (INDIA) PVT LTD
Description
Humalog 100 IU Cartridge is a fast-acting variant of Insulin. Insulin is a natural substance produced by the pancreas which helps in utilizing glucose (body's sugar) for energy production. This medicine is used in the treatment of Diabetes Mellitus (high blood sugar levels). If you have diabetes mellitus, your body may not be able to regulate blood sugar levels due to the insufficient production of insulin or your body's inability to use insulin or both. This medicine helps in the utilisation of sugar for energy and also reduces the production of sugar by the liver. Thus it helps to control your blood sugar levels. Humalog 100 IU Cartridge has some side effects like weight gain, constipation, redness/swelling/itching at the site of injection, etc. It may result in low blood sugar levels and you may feel hungry, irritable, dizzy, anxious, or shaky. It is always recommended to eat or drink a fast-acting source of sugar (fruit juice, candy, raisins, etc.) to quickly treat these symptoms. However, consult your doctor if they bother you for a longer time or worsen. Avoid using this medicine if you are allergic to it. Humalog 100 IU Cartridge should be administered as instructed by your doctor. Your doctor or nurse will demonstrate the safe and proper method to administer the medicine. It is usually administered 15 minutes before a meal or immediately after a meal. Avoid the discontinuation of treatment without consulting your doctor, as it may cause an increase in blood sugar levels and lead to further complications. Humalog 100 IU Cartridge may not be suitable for all. Inform your doctor if you have a low blood potassium level, kidney, or liver problem. Also, inform about all your ongoing medications. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before using this medicine.
