Description
G-Formin Tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine containing Glibenclamide and Metformin. It is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes in adults. G-Formin Tablet helps control blood sugar levels by increasing insulin (a hormone that enables your body to use sugar) release and preventing the breakdown of carbohydrates into sugar. G-Formin Tablet may cause side effects like headache, dizziness, nausea, diarrhoea, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or if they become severe. G-Formin Tablet may also cause hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar levels) characterised by symptoms like sweating, dizziness, headache, and shaking. Thus, it is recommended to have regular meals and always carry a fast-acting sugar source such as fruit juice, candy, raisins, etc. G-Formin Tablet is a prescription medicine and should be taken exactly as advised by your doctor. Take it at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of this medicine in your body. Do not skip a dose or discontinue the treatment as it may cause an increase in your blood sugar levels. G-Formin Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have kidney, liver, or heart problems before beginning the treatment. This medicine is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. How it works
G-Formin Tablet is a combination of Metformin and Glibenclamide. Glimepiride works by increasing the secretion of insulin (a hormone that enables your body to use sugar) from the pancreas and also improves the body's ability to use insulin efficiently. Metformin works by improving the body’s response to insulin and decreasing glucose (sugar) production in the liver.
