How it works
Mometasone decreases the formation, release, and movement of certain substances that cause swelling of the internal organs as well as external swelling and irritation. It also works by suppressing the effects of the immune system. Formoterol relaxes and opens the blocked air passages leading to the lungs; this improves the amount of airflow to the lungs and makes breathing easier. Their combination is thus more effective for the maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
