Description
Etavone-S Ointment is a combination of Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid. This medicine is used to treat skin conditions such as psoriasis (a condition where the skin cells build and form dry patches) and eczema (dry, red, itchy and bumpy skin with irritation). Etavone-S Ointment contains Clobetasol which prevents the formation of certain chemical substances in your body that are responsible for redness, swelling, and itching. This medication causes itching and peeling of the outer layer of the skin, thus allowing Clobetasol to penetrate more effectively. Etavone-S Ointment may cause burning, itching, irritation and dryness of your skin. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or if they become severe. Etavone-S Ointment should be applied externally to the affected part of your skin as directed by your doctor. Continue using this medicine for the prescribed duration to avoid a flare-up of your symptoms. Etavone-S Ointment should be avoided if you are allergic to it. This medicine is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

How it works
Etavone-S Ointment is a combination of Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid. Clobetasol belongs to a class of medicines called corticosteroids (steroids). It works by decreasing the formation of certain chemical substances in your body that are responsible for causing redness, swelling, and itching of the affected part of your skin. Salicylic acid causes the outer layers of your skin to peel and shed where it is applied. Since it takes off the upper layer of your skin, when given in combination, it allows clobetasol to penetrate more effectively.
