Description
Efoxim 200 MG Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections affecting the lungs, throat, kidneys, bladder, ureter, and urethra. It is also used to treat a sexually transmitted infection called gonorrhoea. This medicine kills bacteria and prevents the spread of infections. It is not effective against infections caused by viruses or fungi. Efoxim 200 MG Tablet has some common side effects such as diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Avoid any activity that requires concentration if you feel drowsy after taking this medicine. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it. Efoxim 200 MG Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it as directed by your doctor and ensure that you complete the entire course of this medicine. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own, as it may cause re-infection that would be difficult to treat. Contact your doctor if you do not feel better even after completing the course of treatment. Efoxim 200 MG Tablet may not be suitable for everyone. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems or any other health conditions before taking this medicine. General warnings

Diarrhoea

Efoxim 200 MG Tablet may also kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine. This leads to an overgrowth of the Clostridium difficile bacteria which releases toxins and cause severe diarrhoea. Seek medical help if you experience severe diarrhoea that persists or worsens.

Antibiotic resistance

Antibiotic resistance occurs when bacteria evolve and gain the ability to defeat the antibiotics intended to kill them. Finish your entire course of treatment with Efoxim 200 MG Tablet, even if your condition gets better after a few doses, to avoid antibiotic resistance. Consult your doctor if you still feel unwell after completing your antibiotic course.

Driving or operating machines

Efoxim 200 MG Tablet may cause dizziness, confusion, or fits in some cases. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you experience such symptoms.

Allergic skin reaction

Efoxim 200 MG Tablet is likely to cause severe skin reactions. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, blisters (fluid-filled bumps), or lesions (a part of the skin that has an abnormal growth or appearance).

Liver diseases
