Description
Citcos-Plus Tablet is a combination of Citicoline and Piracetam. It is used in the treatment of stroke. It works by preventing the damage to your nerve cells and nourishing them back to health again. Citcos-Plus Tablet shows side effects like headache, sleeplessness, weight gain, stomach discomfort, and diarrhoea. However, these side effects may subside by themselves as your body adjusts to this medicine. Citcos-Plus Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it every day at the same time as prescribed by your doctor. The dose and duration of treatment will be determined by your doctor depending on the severity of your health condition. Avoid the discontinuation of this medicine without consulting your doctor. Citcos-Plus Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, or any other brain-related conditions. This medicine is not recommended for use in children less than 18 years of age. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, or are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.

A cerebral haemorrhage is a condition of localized bleeding in your brain. Avoid taking Citcos-Plus Tablet if you have a history of this condition as it may worsen your condition.

Huntington's Chorea

Huntington's disease is a brain condition that causes the breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. It may cause uncontrolled, irregular and unpredictable muscle movements, emotional problems, and loss of thinking ability. Citcos-Plus Tablet is not recommended for use in such condition.

Hypertonia

Hypertonia is a condition of too much muscle tension in your body. This condition makes it difficult to flex and move around normally. Less commonly, it may occur in older children and adults. Citcos-Plus Tablet is not recommended if you have this conditions.

General warnings

Bleeding disorders

Citcos-Plus Tablet should be used with caution if you have bleeding problems such as severe haemorrhage (bleeding or abnormal flow of blood), gastrointestinal ulcers (sores in the lining of the stomach and intestine that may cause internal bleeding), etc. as this medicine may increase the risk of excess bleeding.

Use in Children

Citcos-Plus Tablet is not recommended for use in children less than 18 years of age as the safety and efficacy data are not clinically established.

Driving or operating machines

Use of Citcos-Plus Tablet may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Avoid performing activities that require high mental alertness such as driving vehicles or operating machines until you know how this medicine affects you.

Abrupt withdrawal

Citcos-Plus Tablet should not be discontinued abruptly as it may cause symptoms such as a headache, anxiety, seizures (abnormal and uncontrolled electrical activity in the brain causing uncontrolled jerking of the body), etc. Your doctor may suggest an appropriate regimen to gradually stop the treatment.

Missed Dose

Try not to skip the dose of Citcos-Plus Tablet. In case you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose.

Overdose

You should not take more than the prescribed dose of Citcos-Plus Tablet. In case of an overdose, seek immediate medical attention or contact your doctor.
