Description
Cefoxid 100 MG Drops is an antibiotic medicine that contains cefadroxil. It is used in children to treat bacterial infections of the throat, skin, urinary tract, etc. Cefoxid 100 MG Drops is also used in the treatment of impetigo (a skin infection caused by bacteria). This medicine prevents infection by killing or stopping the growth of the bacteria. Cefoxid 100 MG Drops is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Cefoxid 100 MG Drops shows some side effects like diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Do not use this medicine if your child is allergic to it. Consult your doctor if any side effects persist or bother your child. Cefoxid 100 MG Drops is an effective medicine used in infants and children. Cefoxid 100 MG Drops can be given with or without food. For the ease of remembering, give these drops to your child at the same time every day. Once you started using this medicine for your child, ensure that the entire course of treatment is completed. Avoid unnecessary use of Cefoxid 100 MG Drops as excessive use may cause the bacteria to become resistant to treatment. Cefoxid 100 MG Drops may not be suitable for all children. Inform the paediatrician about your child’s complete medical history, including any previous episode of allergy, birth defects, heart, lung, gastrointestinal, liver or kidney problems before using this medicine.
