Description
Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet is a combination of Amlodipine and Bisoprolol. It is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. This medicine lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your heart muscles and blood vessels, thus improves blood flow. This further reduces the risk stroke and heart attacks. Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet can cause side effects like swelling in your ankles or feet, headache, nausea, diarrhoea, etc. These side effects usually resolve on their own but consult your doctor if it worsens. Avoid activities that require mental focus like driving or operating machines if you feel dizzy. Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet can be taken with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will decide the dose based on your condition. Take Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of this medicine in your blood. Avoid the discontinuation of this medicine without consulting your doctor. Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, or any other heart problems. This medicine is not recommended if you have heart problems that cause slow heart beat, abnormal rhythm or insufficient pumping of the blood as it can worsen your condition. Also, inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines as they can interact with each other and cause side effects. Allergy

Cardiogenic shock

Cardiogenic shock is an emergency condition where your heart suddenly stops pumping blood throughout your body. Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet is not recommended in such cases as this medicine relaxes your heart muscles and decrease the heart rate, which further depresses your heart functions.

Heart block greater than first degree

Heart block is a condition where the heart beats very slowly or with an abnormal rhythm. Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet is not recommended in such cases as it can worsen your heart condition.

Sinus Bradycardia

Sinus bradycardia refers to slow heartbeat due to improper electrical impulses in your heart. Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet is not recommended if you have sinus bradycardia as it can slower your heartbeats and worsen your condition.

General warnings

Major surgery

Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet can interact with anaesthetic medicine (medicine used for loss of sensation before surgery) and affect the heart functioning, which is not suitable for a major surgery. Inform your doctor about the use of this medicine if you plan to undergo any kind of surgery.

Diabetes

Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet should be used with caution if you have diabetes as it may mask symptoms of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels) such as tremors, tachycardia (increased heart rate) and blood pressure changes. Your doctor may either adjust your dose or check your blood sugar levels frequently to use this medicine safely. n.

Hyperthyroidism

Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet should be used with caution if you have hyperthyroidism (increased thyroid hormone levels). Abrupt withdrawal of this medicine may lead to a life-threatening condition called thyroid storm (severe complications of untreated hyperthyroidism). To minimize this risk, your doctor will gradually stop this medicine by reducing doses over a period of 1 to 2 weeks.

Impaired liver function

Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet should be used with caution if you have liver problems as it may lead to the accumulation of this medicine and increase the risk of side effects. Inform your doctor if you have any liver conditions, he may consider dose adjustments or other alternative medicine depending on your condition.

Use in children

Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Impaired kidney function

Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet should be used with caution if you have kidney problems as this medicine is excreted by the kidneys. Missed Dose

Asthma

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is an eye condition caused by abnormally high pressure in your eyes that may lead to loss of vision. Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet may lower the pressure within your eyes, hence it should be taken with caution if you are taking medicines to treat glaucoma.

Coronary Artery Disease

Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet should be used with extreme caution if you have coronary artery diseases (a condition where the blood vessels of your heart are damaged, mainly due to build-up of plaque) as it may affect the functioning of your heart and worsen your condition. Your doctor will suggest tests to regularly monitor the functioning of your heart while you are on this medication.

Bisoheart AM (5/2.5 mg) Tablet is composed of Amlodipine and Bisoprolol. Amlodipine works by relaxing your blood vessels to reduce the pressure on them, thereby controls your blood pressure.
