How it works
Ketoconazole works by stopping the production of a certain vital component for the fungi. This results in the disruption of cell membrane formation process and inhibits the growth of the organism. Cetrimide works by destroying or damaging the cell membranes of bacteria; this eventually results in the death of bacteria. Thus, this combination acts as both antibacterial and antifungal.
