Description
Beta L 375 MG Injection is a beta-blocker that works on the heart and blood vessels. It is used for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmia, a condition where the heart can beat too fast, too slow or with an irregular pattern. Beta L 375 MG Injection slows down the activity of your heart allowing your heart to beat slower and less forcefully. Beta L 375 MG Injection is also used to treat acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) and reduce the risk of death. It is used in patients who have already had a heart attack. A heart attack occurs when one of the heart's blood vessel is blocked due to a clot or blood flow decreases or stops to the heart. Beta L 375 MG Injection causes blood vessels to relax which helps to reduce the blood pressure and improves the blood flow to the heart. Side effects of Beta L 375 MG Injection are dizziness, headache, breathing difficulty, and pain at the injection site. It is administered into your vein by a health care professional in a hospital or clinic. Appropriate lifestyle changes like a low-fat diet, exercise, and smoking cessation should be followed for the best possible effects.

Allergy

Heart block greater than first degree

Heart block is named first-, second-, or third-degree. First-degree heart block is the least severe, second-degree heart block is severe and can often progress to third-degree heart block, the most severe form. Beta L 375 MG Injection is not recommended to treat second or third-degree heart block that requires emergency attention.

Bradycardia

Bradycardia or slow heart rate occurs when your heart beats less than 60 times per minute. Beta L 375 MG Injection is not recommended to treat a slow heart rate.

Decompensated heart failure

Decompensated heart failure is a condition where there is a change in the structure of heart tissue leading to an inability of the heart to pump and/or accommodate blood within normal pressure levels. Beta L 375 MG Injection can lower the blood pressure in patients with decompensated heart failure causing a necessity for immediate medical intervention

Sports

Athletes are advised not to indulge in certain sports while using this medicine. Archery, racing, shooting and other high-risk sports should be avoided. Sportspersons should refer to the list of medicines published by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) which are not to be taken while participating in specific sports events.

Use in children

Beta L 375 MG Injection is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Glaucoma or high eye pressure occurs when the nerve connecting the eye to the brain is damaged. Patients with glaucoma may require dose adjustments while using Beta L 375 MG Injection.

Diabetes

Beta L 375 MG Injection can mask the symptoms of low blood sugar in diabetic patients. Regular monitoring of blood sugar levels is necessary for diabetic patients receiving this medicine.

Kidney disease

Beta L 375 MG Injection is moved out of the body by the kidney. Patients with a creatinine clearance below 35 mL/min/1.73 m2 need a special dose consideration while using Beta L 375 MG Injection.
