Description
Atstat-Am (5/10 mg) Tablet is a combination of Amlodipine and Atorvastatin. It is used orally for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) along with high cholesterol levels. Obese patients are at high risk of developing high blood pressure and also have an increased risk of heart attack and stroke. Atstat-Am (5/10 mg) Tablet works by relaxing your heart muscles and blood vessels that lowers the high blood pressure. It also blocks the formation of cholesterol in your body. Together, this medicine decreases high blood pressure and lowers cholesterol levels. Thus, it decreases the risk of heart attack and stroke. The common side effects of Atstat-Am (5/10 mg) Tablet use are headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and feeling of warmth (in the face, neck and trunk). These side effects subside as your body starts adapting to this medicine. Consult your doctor if any side effects persist or worsen. Avoid taking this medicine if you were previously allergic to it. Atstat-Am (5/10 mg) Tablet can make you feel dizzy for the first few days. Do not drive or do anything that requires concentration until you know how Atstat-Am (5/10 mg) Tablet affects you. Your doctor may check your liver function before starting the treatment and regularly thereafter. Inform your doctor if you notice signs of liver problems such as stomach pain, unusually dark urine or yellowing of your skin or eyes. You can take Atstat-Am (5/10 mg) Tablet with or without food. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse and would be hard to treat. Try not to skip the Atstat-Am (5/10 mg) Tablet dose and avoid an overdose of this medicine. To make sure Atstat-Am (5/10 mg) Tablet is safe for you, share your entire medical and medication history with your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding.

Liver Disease

This accumulation may worsen the liver condition. Hence, Atstat-Am (5/10 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use if you have active liver diseases.

Aortic stenosis

Driving and operating machines

Missed Dose

Diabetes

Cardiogenic shock

Rhabdomyolysis

Caution should be exercised while taking Atstat-Am (5/10 mg) Tablet if you have rhabdomyolysis. Rhabdomyolysis is a condition in which damaged muscle fibres enter the bloodstream, leading to kidney failure.
