Dr Maneesh Rai the second Cardiac Electrophysiologist in Karnataka is very proud of his profession and the work he is doing at KMC hospital treating and caring for patients with heart diseases. Currently associated with KMC (Mangalore) Dr.Rai says that "If you have an irregular heartbeat, you may need to see more than just your cardiologist. Another doctor, an electrophysiologist, can diagnose and help treat arrhythmia. Your heart has two basic functions. One is to pump blood throughout your body, and the other is to remember to pump blood throughout your body". His treatments include focusing on heartbeat timing, or electrical, system and on diagnosing and treating irregular heartbeats or arrhythmias. Dr.Rai's specialization lies in performing special tests of your hearts electrical system, such as an electrophysiology study or an ablation. His area of expertise lies in implementation of a pacemaker or defibrillator which is similar to a pacemaker but can shock your heart back into rhythm when required.

Dr.Maneesh Rai comes across as an excellent communicator with his patients. With his loving nature the Doctor is sure to win every patient's 💓.
To explain his loving nature, I would like to mention this experience of mine. As I recovered fairly fast like his other patients after my ablation procedure, probably the Doctor did not want to see his patients on wheel chair to be taken around the hospital for post-procedure tests. On one such occasion, I was waiting on the wheel chair for my turn for an echo test. On pretext of doing the test, he called me inside & told me to walk around instead of sitting on the wheel chair till my turn would come up. I was greatly impressed with the way the Doctor fills confidence in his patients. I am sure, there are patients who are impressed with his caring nature simply like me.
Very professional. Had a good experience. The doctor was able to convey the issue to the patient in simple language, which is good.
