What I realized after meeting him is that even the people recommending him probably do not fully understand just how exceptional he really is. Dr. Adittya is not only an incredibly capable surgeon, but also an extraordinary doctor and human being. For almost two years, my father was unable to make a decision regarding surgery despite all our efforts. Dr. Adittya was the first person who made him genuinely comfortable enough to trust the process. He spoke to my father with so much warmth, patience, and respect that my father felt immediately at ease around him. From the very first consultation, he made us feel like we did not have to carry the burden of fear alone. The entire experience was nothing like what I had imagined surgery would feel like. Somehow, he made an extremely stressful situation feel manageable. What stood out to me the most was how much importance he gave to my father’s comfort and consent. During both the biopsy and the prostatectomy discussions, he made sure to speak directly to my father and ask him personally whether he wanted to proceed. He explained exactly what my father needed to know to make an informed decision ** *********** ***** no overwhelming medical jargon, and no underplaying the seriousness either. * ********* ***** **** ******* ** **** ******* * ***** ******** As attendants and family members, we naturally had endless questions, anxieties, and fears. Every single question we asked was answered patiently by Dr. Adittya’s team. He was also a huge support operationally throughout the process. Even while my father was in the OT, his team continuously kept us updated informing us when he went in, what stage things were at, and how things were progressing. Usually attendants are left waiting anxiously with very little communication during surgeries, but Dr. Adittya’s team made sure we always knew what was happening. That communication alone gave us tremendous confidence and emotional relief. What impressed me most about Dr. Adittya was that he did not just focus on treating the patient medically he made sure the entire family felt comfortable and confident with the decisions being made. That level of empathy is rare. I genuinely never expected to find a recommendation of this quality in Lucknow, and I say this with complete honesty. If someone in my family or circle ever needs a urologist or has difficulty deciding where to go for surgery, my answer will always be Dr. Adittya Sharma. He is an outstanding surgeon, an exceptional doctor, and above all, a deeply compassionate human being. I would strongly recommend anyone looking for a urologist to at least meet him once for a consultation.
