Hi Manomoy, I remember your visit very well. I spent more than thirty minutes with you during which we discussed the following: 1) your symptoms 2) the problems you were facing in your office and possible solutions for the same 3) your concerns about the health of your parents and the family business which your father manages 4) the concerns of your friend, who accompanied you, regarding your health. I could have written you exactly the same prescription without discussing points 2, 3, and 4. However since you still feel that you were seen in a hurry, I am sorry to say there is nothing more I could have done for you. Regarding your phone call which came within a week of your visit, the reason I asked you to continue with your medicine till your follow up is simply this that the medicine you were prescribed takes around 4 to 6 weeks to show its response. In fact, this is applicable to almost all antidepressants. So it makes no sense to change medicines within just one or two weeks. Anyways, thanks for letting me know how you feel. Wish you good health.
