Dr. Jaydip Porel has passed MBBS from Medical College, Calcutta. He has taken his postgraduate training in Gynecology and Obstetrics in prestigious Eden Hospital, Calcutta and has done DGO from University of Calcutta. He went to England for higher training in gynecology and has worked as a registrar in centers of excellence like Northern Deanery University Hospitals and University Hospital in Cardiff. He has taken advanced training in high risk pregnancy, infertility, urogynecology and gyne laparoscopic surgery. He has worked as a research Fellow in Laparoscopic Surgery in Royal Free Hospital in London. He has actively participated in many clinical audits and multicentric studies and has learnt practice of evidence based medicine. He has passed prestigious membership examination of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2001.
After his return to Kolkata, Dr. Jaydip Porel has started his own private practice as a consultant gynecologist. He works in Bellevue Clinic, Kothari Medical Centre, Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital and RG Laparoscopy Hospital. His areas of interest include general gynecology, high risk pregnancy, gyne laparoscopic surgery, infertility, assisted reproductive techniques and urogynecology. He has conducted over 5000 caesarean section and normal deliveries performed more than 8000 conventional gynecological surgeries and over 3000 laparoscopic surgeries with utmost patient safety and highest level of skill.
