6 months back, I experienced a sensation after urination but the doctor in Delhi whom I consulted, suggested STD but there wasn't any symptom apart from a sensation after peeing. None of the pathological tests found anything nevertheless he wrote Urethritis in prescription.
When I again experienced it in October, I consulted Dr Suman Mitra who righfully dismissed STD claims and suggested tests which couldn't find anything. His prescribed detailed tests verified my intuition that it was no STD. Probably it was due to a minute kidney stone or a minor UTI.
In the entire process, I observed Dr Mitra's basics are strong and he talks with reason, than guessing randomly. He instills confidence in the patient which solves half the problem.
I recommend Dr Mitra unequivocally. He is poised to be a name to reckon with in next 5 years.
Doctor behavior is so nice that we thought consulting with a friend not a doctor and his explanation about illness with simple words can't feel nervous.
It is truly difficult to start with, as the contribution of Dr. Mitra in my journey of overcoming the deadliest malediction of modern history. I had fever persisted for five days with body pain and weakness and had consulted him. With his advise, I tested myself for SARS COV-2 and was found positive, precisely the shock of my life. As I didn't have breathing difficulties, Dr. Mitra advised me for home isolation following all extant government guidelines. It was the most difficult journey for me due to multifarious reasons starting from the fear of having worsening health issues to the fear of getting recovered. I could sail through the journey only because of the 'philosopher doctor' Dr. Mitra with his methodical treatment, immense self confidence and unparalleled empathy for his patients. His words acted as miracle for me 'be at my meds and have faith in me'. I was cured in two weeks time under strict supervision of Dr. Mitra and am doing absolutely fine within 3 weeks of detecting positive. Though it is a long review but would like to conclude saying that we can battle out this virus at ease if we have combatants like Dr. Mitra to protect us. I am ever grateful to him to guide me through the unexpected and difficult journey.
I visited Dr Mitra many times for different health issues. ********* ** *** ** ** *** **** ** ********* ****** *** **** a very good human being. He listens to all the problems and answers all health related queries.
To share the experience with the doctor I have to start from beginning to this episode. All of sudden in the previous week of Diwali, 2019 Tuesday my wife was having some feverish feeling and abdominal discomfort. We tried some Paracetamol 650 initially and got some intermittent relief. But after couple of days it got deteriorated and severe headache plus body ache added in her discomfort. High fever was there in every 6 hours after having paracetamol also. Then Saturday we consulted our local house physician who is MD in general medicine and DM also. Correctly he did not give antibiotic immediately and asked us to do some blood test so that we can pick the root cause of the fever. Monday we got all the blood reports (including Dengue, Malaria, typhoid etc.). But fortunately and unfortunately there were no abnormality found in the reports also. In the meantime my wife was in lot pain having high fever & severe headache. Then my local doctor started a multi spectrum antibiotic for last try to treat her from home. But Tuesday situation did not change and my doctor suggested to admit her in hospital as fever & headache persisted for 7 days. Then I had to admit her in hospital but where?? That was the question. Fortunately one of my relative advised me to admit her under Dr Suman Mitra in CMRI hospital. I took her in the hospital and explained the situation & history to the doctor. Dr Suman suggested us to admit her and started the treatment with several blood test immediately. At that time diagnosis was important and we wanted to pick the root cause of the disease first. To be very honest I was bit sceptical about the doctor as Dr Suman as he looks very young and we, the ordinary people always think that good doctor have to be fifty up . Actually we were much tensed as we could not pick the root cause for last 7 days. At the very first sitting I heard the name of Scrub Typhus as doctor was suspecting that also. I heard the name for the first time. On the next day morning all report came up and my wife was diagnosed with Scrub Typhus as result came up reactive. After staying 4 days in hospital and getting treated properly by Dr Suman my wife is now without fever in home. This disease could be fatal if it is not diagnosed early. From doctor I also came to know detection of this disease is difficult but treatment of it comparatively easier. Another difficult part is test of Scrub Typhus is not done everywhere and it is still not very common. But as it is spreading currently in the cities also lab test of it should be done in every diagnostic centre. At the end I would like to thank Dr Suman for his prompt and correct approach to detect the disease and treating her. As I said earlier Scrub Typhus can be dangerous if it is not detected early. At the same time Dr Suman is very approachable and understands the patient relatives condition. This is very uncommon especially in Kolkata where most of the big doctor has God like impression in front of patient relative and hardly approachable. I would like to keep him always in my contact details for any future needs if any.
My father was tested positive for the novel coronavirus and we admitted him to the CMRI hospital where Dr. Suman Mitra was one of his doctors. He has a very calm approach towards treating his patients. My dad instantly connected with him. He is very friendly and responds to the all the questions of the kins in a very detailed and helpful manner. He helps you steer through this ship of anxiety and stress in a very clam manner and ensures that his patients and their kin remain positive always. My father was in hospital for 18 days and he categorically told me that it was only the positive nature of the doctors that helped him overcome the anxiety of such a long stay in a private facility. I will highly recommend Dr. Suman Mitra to everyone.
I have been visiting Dr. Mitra since 3 years now. I have been treated my him multiple times as well as my mother and today was my father's first visit. As usual, the experience was awesome. The best quality of Dr. Mitra in my opinion is his proactive approach to a treatment and his behaviour. In addition to his fluent and jovial doctor-patient interaction skills, he is extremely friendly and polite; patiently listens to every details the patient has to convey. And not to mention, he responds to queries over phone and WhatsApp in case of emergencies.I would definitely recommend the doctor.
Dr. Suman Mitra has treated my Mother In Law and several friends of mine in the past. I reached out to him after getting positive feedback and recommendation from them. My experience has been amazing and satisfactory. He provided me online consultation when I reached out to him for abdomen related pain and issues during the lockdown. His response was very fast and he scheduled the appointment quickly. He listened with patience and explained the issue to me kindly and shared the prescription online. The best thing about his consultation is that he is always available for his patients and takes the initiative to follow up and provides the opportunity for patients to reach out to him in times of trouble .Recently our ailing grandmother had suffered a stroke at home during this lockdown. Unable to understand the situation, I reached out to Dr.Mitra and told him about her condition. He was so kind and empathetic in hearing and advising the immediately necessary medicines to descalate the situation and by his advise we gave medicines that reduced her pressure and probably saved her life. He even followed up on her condition proactively. We are fortunate that we found a doctor and human being with so much empathy and responsibility like him. Thank you so much!
I had consulted Dr.Mitra as I had tested positive for Covid in the end of July. I had to undergo a 3 week home quarantine and everytime I felt nervous or stressed during that time he was always there to reassure me. For me,what sets Dr. Mitra apart is his friendly and reassuring behaviour with patients which is difficult to find at times these days. I would definately recommend him.
My father in law who was suffering from fever since couple of weeks, admitted him in CMRI under the consultation of Dr. Suman Mitra. Since, my father in law was taking Chemo medicines and he was under consultation with another doctor, whom we could able to reach, due to nation wide lock down. He was admitted to CMRI as it is reputed hospital in Kolkata. We took no time and decided to admit him as fever was still continuing. Dr.Suman Mitra took no stone unturned and diagnosed him to find out the reason behind FEVER… he kept his patience on and his dedication towards work finally resulted and reports came positive for fungal infection in blood…which was causing FEVER…
Our family won’t be able to forget his sincere dedication towards his profession. He is easily approachable in nature and he keeps posted each and every step to make aware of his every decision. He has always shown and kept his smile serving him. Because of his continuous effort, we during the difficult time, with his support, finally my father in law is better condition and his medication is still on... He came to our lives just like a god.. We thank him for his support and still as on date he is keeping update of patient health condition…we wish him all success in life… God bless him…
