My mother was referred to be treated to Dr. Bastab Ghosh by one of my friend. She was suffering from UTI and Kidney stone for quite some time. From the very beginning, we were really moved by his warm approachable nature. Empathy and his way of making his patients comfortable with him is what sets him apart from most other doctors. My mother has been very effectively treated with his expertise for all the ailments she had. From the moment he took charge of her case, he guided us at every step and patiently answered every possible question.I want to mention that even when we had to visit AMRI twice for some other complications, he made sure to be available through calls personally every single time and helped to shift my mother to kolkata from agartala.Meanwhile he himself kept in touch with us to know every detail of my mother's health. He is just simply capable of making the patient as well as the family members to relax even in critical tense situations with his eversmiling face and down to earth nature. Doctors are like him are very rare. Thank you for everything from the bottom of heart, Dr. Ghosh.

This is regarding my uncle Mr.Kulwinder Pal Singh who has undergone Splenectomy on 4th of September 2020.
After which it was detected that he was suffering from CML (A TYPE OF BLOOD CANCER).
The elevated levels of PSA and an Enlarged Prostate was our next concern.
We searched for an Urologist on Practo which is the best application and a blessing to reach out to so many experienced doctors from different Hospitals. It caters to every need in respect of medical assistance.
In no time Dr. Bastab Ghosh associated Amri Dhakuria became our first and last preference.
After clinical diagnosis by Dr. Ghosh and supportive findings through various tests and TRUS GUIDED PROSTATE BIOPSY it was found that he was suffering from PROSTATE CANCER as well. The cancer was malignant but yet to spread.
His expert guidance and explanation of the disease along with pros and cons related to it were evident enough to justify his callibre.
Dr.Bastab Ghosh performed a LAPROSCOPIC RADICAL PROSTATECTOMY on 28th of November 2020.

*** ***** ** * ********* ****** **** * ***** ********* ** *** **** ** ********** I had suffer with E-coli infection 5 times in the past. For the sixth time I went to him.I still remember he gave me one single medicine for one month and it's been almost 6 years that I didn't get this infection again till date. In this very year I went through kidney stone removal surgery (miniperc) in AMRI Dhakuria, in the month of January. The surgery went all fine and I would like to mention the well behavior of the nurses. They are so generous and empathetic. I strongly recommend Dr. Ghosh and AMRI hospital Dhakuria.
My father in law, Rabindranath Pyne, at the age of 79 suffered from prostate infection leading to infected body as well. Thus resulting in loss of proper neural functions and other bodily functions. So we had admitted him to AMRI dhakuria. Dr. Bastav Ghosh, an outstanding urosurgeon performs the operation which was very successful and we are happy to say that he is completely cured. And even the catheter that he had to use for 2.5 years has been discontinued after such a successful surgery. We are grateful to Dr bastav ghosh.
I had gone for a laser lithotpsy by Dr Bastab Ghosh last week and I have recovered very fast.To me Dr Ghosh is not only a good uro surgeon, his attitude and behaviour towards his patient is also very nice .I will give 5 star rating.
I had approached the Dr for my spouse who was suffering from interstitial Cystisis with mild BOO for last 5 months. No antibiotics was effective in curing the disease. I was really getting worried for my spouse health. After meeting the Doc he advised medication which was not that effective. After 15 days of medication, Cystoscopy with minor BNI procedure was performed by the Doc which was painless and proved very effective. My spouse has responded very well to the procedure and she is now recovering from the procedure adopted by the Doctor. She has been advised for medication for 6 months to be reviewed after 3 months of medication. I am sure with medication under the able and erudit supervision of the Doctor, she will be permanently be cured. Thank you so much Doctor for your effective treatment. I am really glad doctor your calibre is stationed at Kolkata to provide high quality halth care to its people. Thank u so much

fully dedicated to his profession with a sharp clinical eye for diagnosis on the basis of clinical symptoms rather than extensive pathological tests. He has performed a prostatectomy operation on my 80 years old father.I was overwhealmed to his loyalty and sincearity when I took my father to him (after consultig at least half a dozen of doctors), He and he only convinced us with the proper scenario of the disease, the affected part, problems that might occure after surgery, time of recovery, chance of risk involved. He discussed the pros and cons of the disease and all the possible treatment options. Instead of dictating he asked us to choose the most suitable option for us (after understanding the details of every treatment option). I think this attitude helped the patient to be more involved in treatment. As a person he is no doubt very polite and humble. His post operative care is excellent. He is very open minded fellow and one can ask any doubts regarding the disease. Needless to say that, in our city, such a nice and competent Urosurgeon is rare.
Last but not the least he always gives a tremendous mental support of positivity towards not only to the patient but also to the patient family .....which according to me is the major USP of Dr Ghosh beyond his medical and surgical skills.
We,the commoner society people need doc s like YOU. Thank you doc.
