Dr Abhra Chandra Chowdhury says "he has completed my MBBS from Calcutta National Medical College. Following MBBS I have done DNB Medicine from the prestigious institute Christian Medical College, Vellore. After obtaining a post graduation in medicine, he has spent one year at the Department of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at CMC Vellore under the supervision of Prof. Debasish Danda. Subsequently, he got selected for DM Rheumatology course at one of the most premier institutes of the country - Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow. There he had the opportunity to work under Prof Ramnath Misra and Prof Amita Aggarwal who have trained some of the best rheumatologists in the country.During my years at CMC Vellore and SGPGIMS Lucknow, he has gained vast experience in the management of rheumatic diseases. he has been trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound as well as MRI.Rheumatology is a relatively newer subspecialty of medicine. The burden of rheumatic diseases is huge and often they lead to disability or mortality at a relatively young age. Awareness about management of rheumatic diseases is lacking amongst patients as well as general physicians. his goal is to develop this speciality in West Bengal and to improve the management of patients with rheumatic diseases".
Very humble and simple doctor. Explained in a very proper way about the treatment. I liked a lot and will follow up to him continuously.
I had visited Dr.Chowdhury on3nd of Jan with severe joint pain and swelling. His friendly behavior, positive advise and proper guidance to cope with the disease was really helpful. I am really satisfied with his treatment Thank you so much doctor.
I had gone through the reviews on practo before visiting the doctor but unfortunately it was not a good experience. To treat a patient, one should have enough patience to listen to the issue thoroughly.Doctor din't want to listen to me or go through previous reports.Without knowing the whole matter he concluded that if my back pain is more then I have to take expensive injections. After that he just suggested me a website and asked me to study about ankylosing spondylitis. Also he asked me to refer to the website only for video of excercises.I don't understand that if I simply have to refer to a website for all these then why should I visit a doctor?I had very much disappointing experience.

My wife has been going under treatment of vasculitis since more than six months now. She is feeling better now. The treatment is a long procedure. Lets pray and hope for the best.
heard nice about him. also it's impressive that he did not prescribe unnecessary medicine for body pain and low vit. but at that day i had severe pain in urinary tract, later had fever. he never gave me antibiotics. after that day, general physician said that acute UTI. i only want to share that he could have been more careful to my complains and symptoms.
