Udichi is the brand name of a comprehensive E.N.T, Head-Neck, and Plastic Surgery Centre, run by a group of highly qualified, experienced and dedicated ENT Specialists and Plastic Surgeon. They were inspired by their mentor, respected Prof. (Dr.) S.D Mukhopadhyaya, who set a unique example of ethical medical practice and high moral value. Prof. Mukhopadhyay was also an excellent teacher of high repute across the country for more than three decades.This is the first and only surviving ENT Institute of its kind in West Bengal which is owned by and run by the Doctors only and not by any corporate house. It successfully survived there for three years while a need was felt to search for a more spacious area to run the clinic with more modern equipment and facilities. Udichi was shifted to Lake Town opposite Daffodil Nursing Home in the year 2007 with a fully equipped Out Patient Department having facilities like audiometry & Hearing Aid, Nasal endoscopy, Flexible laryngoscopy and also the microscopic examination of the ear.At present, the complete establishment of OPD, Indoor, and O.T. (fully equipped with all modern and sophisticated surgical instruments) has been finally relocated at P 188, Block B, Lake Town (Lake Town- Bangur Avenue Link Road) Besides ENT & Head-Neck operations, separate wings of Plastic & Cosmetic surgery and Maxillo-facial surgery are also functioning in full swing at Udichi now.
