Dr. Rakesh Parikh

I was misdiagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes Melitus based on my age. Was treated with Insulin for 1-1.5 years. I consulted Dr. Rakesh Parikh and after seeing my c Peptide results, family history, he advised to change my treatment a tad bit. The treatment showed great improvement immediately after starting. After seeing my Sugar Chart and my improved readings, I was dropped off Insulin conpletely. I advice all the youngsters of my age group 16-25 to atleast talk to the doctor about a C peptide test which differentiates Type 1 from type 2.

My mother had very high blood sugar even after taking number of tablets and insulin. I have tried several doctors but no one could diagnose the real problem. Dr Parikh first controlled the sugar levels and then gradually stopped insulin. Now my mother is very well controlled without insulin.

Hardly took any time to connect to the doctor. Mine was a case of medication dosage change according to the tsh level. To do so, i would need to spend a lot of time at any hospital.
