Long waiting time. We were given the time at 11.20. We were in the hospital by 11.20. After long waiting time

KNEE replacement led to DEATH in Sunshine Hospital ***** *** ****** ****** My mother got the first knee operated on the 10th of May 2019 and was discharged within 3 days. We met the panel doctor after 2 weeks and then afKNEE replacement led to DEATH in Sunshine Hospital ***** *** ****** ****** My mother got the first knee operated on the 10th of May 2019 and was discharged within 3 days. We met the panel doctor after 2 weeks and then after 4weeks for the review of the left know which was operated. After meeting the panel doctor of Guruva Reddy we were told that my mother was ready for the 2nd surgery. My mother underwent tests like CBP, ECG and a consultation with the cardiologist. My mother was admitted on the 3rd of July 2019 for the 2nd knee which was for the right leg. Post-surgery of the knee in 48 hours my mother had difficulty breathing... they moved her to ICU and then MICU...When asked what was the reason that my mother could not breather, we were told she must have had lung infection prior to the surgery , my mother never had BP nor was diabetic... she was a healthy person with no lung infection..... My mother was then put on ventilator on the 6th of July 2019 and we were still not told what caused the damage to the lungs. Dr. Guruva Reddy spoke to us just the first day and gave us a room for free saying he wants her to feel comfortable. However the hospital still did not disclose what was the reason for the lung infection post the surgery and I strongly feel that we were given the personal room for free so that we go not sit in the waiting area and spread it by word of mouth .... the hospital staff would not let us speak to other patients and every day we had a new doctor for counselling... I had requested to meet Dr. Guruva Reddy but then they kept telling that now it’s not an Ortho issue and it’s lungs ......There was no X-Ray taken for the chest prior to the surgery which was conducted on the 3rd of July. The old X-ray which was taken around the 1st of May 2019 was used for the 2nd leg as well. When asked why was the X ray not taken, the hospital says my mother had no symptoms and hence there was no requirement of Chest X-ray. On the other hand they again say that she must have had a lung issue prior and it’s not due to the surgery. **** ** ********* * ********** ** *** ******** ***** *** ** *** ***** ********** my mother was on the ventilator for 15 days and later they gave up saying they could not save her ..... They did tracheostomy the 5th day **** ** *********** *** she was kept on sedation the entire 14 days and on the 15th day the sedation was reduced. We were extremely happy to see my mom open her eyes and on the 16th day they tell us that she only has few hours left. *** ** **** **** **** ******* ******** * This surgery is expensive on the other hand, **** **** **** ***** ******* *** ** ********** *** ** ***** We were told that they will give an injection for an auto immune issue which has to be taken every 14 days to which we agreed. The injection would cost Rs.80,000 to which was agreed as all I needed was my mother to come back home ALIVE. She walked into the hospital healthy on the 3rd of July 2019 for the surgery and now we were desperate to even see her open her eyes. They planned to give the injection on Monday the 22nd of July 2019 and then on Saturday they tell us that we could call our relatives as my mom had few last hours. They charged us for everything but not the room which was occupied by us for 15 days.... room is not provided to all ICU patients, then why was it only given to us ???????? Why were we treated specially? I NEED JUSTICE, PLEASE HELP ME ******** **** ****** ** ** *** ************* ***** *** later they write on the death summary the reason as cardiac arrest... we had to get that corrected as well and have them write the correct reason of respiratory issues....
