Dr. Swetha Gullapalli

For all the negative reviewers here, I guess they had expected too much from therapy. Therapy is not a miracle or something as they show in movies. This is my first doctor yet I can pretty much say that. All my interactions with her have been great. She even gave me extra time as I felt I needed to talk more despite her patients waiting outside.

I thought I knew everything about myself but she made me realize what my actions actually meant and provided me with a perspective. Usually, I tend to forget the explanations anybody gave me coz the motivation is temporary. But here with Dr. Swetha, this was not the case. She gave a few pointers and I have actually implemented them and felt the result. Yes, she can be blunt sometimes but how long can you hide from the truth? If you want a doctor who would just listen to you, then I'm sorry you need to consult somewhere else but if you really want to improve then it's hard to think that there is anyone better out there.

I've been visiting her for past 1yr now. I've come to realise that therapy is just like dental checkup, need regular visits. The way she helped me get in touch with my inner self and change my personality as per my goals and my goals as per my personality, is simply amazing. Initially, I went for my anxiety disorders but later recommended it to many of my friends and also my partner for couple's therapy. First is a diagnosis session where she the further process is decided after listening to the issue. She goes both ways, therapy with behavioural changes and therapy with medicinal help based on the patients. She has helped me with my personal anxiety issues, my issues with my ex, my love life, my professional life and my family. Visiting her was probably my best decision of not just 2020 but my whole life yet. In this age of pandemic where one in every five people is suffering from mental issues, we need more doctors like her.

It's been exactly 3 years with Aasra Clinic. I have come a long way since then, and it is only because of Swetha Mam. Unlearn & re-learn – this process takes a lot of time, patience, struggle. After my therapy sessions, I have not just come over frequent panic attacks, I have also become a better person. Now I can identify my trigger points. I’m grateful to the person am becoming – less reacting, less judging, less sabotage, more boundaries, more clarity than confusion. I am learning to be ok with people thinking negative about me for voicing out my opinions, I’m practicing acceptance and the list goes on. My appointment was at 5:30 which the last slot after which the doctor leaves. But I was struck in traffic due to rain and requested her to wait for 10 more mins. Eventually the 10 mins turned into 30 and I reached her clinic at 6:00 pm yet doctor Swetha was waiting for me despite her plans to go out with family. Very rarely doctors invest their personal time to treat their patients. I have been to many psychiatrist's before but everyone misdiagnosed me. But Dr.Swetha told me what exactly my problem was and told me the root of the problem. I would strongly suggest her.

Swetha Gullapali was highly judgemental and critical towards my problem. I caught her constantly imposing her beliefs on me and not even for a second she was sensitive towards my feelings. *** ***** ********* ********* She asked me what my dream is and I told her that “My dream is to become a psychotherapist” and her response was “You will become a bad therapist” and then she told me that she’s watching a series called as GYPSY on Netflix and I should watch it too because it’s about a bad therapist. She told me that you’re going to become a bad therapist anyway so do watch it. I visited doctor for being sad and to over come other insecurities in my life. She is very attentive and made me comfortable expressing my issues. Especially when my life is in doldrums, she extended her helping hand through her sessions. I religiously followed her Instructions which made me strong in battling all my issues. She has great memory and remembers even the minute details of the conversation which discussed few months ago. That trait makes so adorable. Thank you so much doctor for your meticulous effort during sessions.

Dr . Swetha has not just been my therapist but like a guide and a life coach who always made me feel that she has been there for me at every low and every high of my life and career .

dr. Shwetha has been the most empathetic doctor and a human being I have ever come across. She has understood me and my issues in depth and has dealt with me with profound knowledge and sensitivity . It is only because of her that I am still surviving this world today .

My words are too less; too scarce to describe her professionalism and her dedication to the work she conducts with her patients .

I would highly recommend anyone looking for some honest therapy.

It has been a really helpful consultation. I have seen her thrice and everytime she has been immensely patient and tried understand my situation. By far, I can say she is the most rational and practical person I have met. Whenever I'm confused or depressed about anything now, I just try to question myself what would Dr. Swetha do/ suggest in such a situation and I follow that instinct. Thank you so much ma'am, you are amazing at your job. (Didn't get to say this in person :) )

I went for treatment of some negative thought coming in my mind because of personal relationship and i explained her everything.

She has enough time to listen your problems and most importantly you will feel her like a friend not as a doctor.

Dr. Sweta is good listener, helpfuln & is currently helping me navigate through difficult times and feelings. She's helping me to figure out what I really want in life. She's empathetic but does an honest prognosis of the situation. She has helped me with strategies to deal with difficult emotions. She doesn't impose or judge, instead she lays down various possibilities that I'm not able to see or not wanting to see on own.
