I am working as an IT Professional from the last 17 years.

With regard to my food habits, I used to grab whatever is eye soothing and seldom used to think on the nutritional aspects.

Few months ago, I went in for an annual health checkup.

While most aspects looked fine, the blood sugar and cholesterol levels were looking to hit off limits.

Though it was not really scary, they were always two options: "Forget the numbers and think of it when it turns bad in few years" OR "Do something as a prevention"

For a change, I chose the second.

I met nutritionist/dietician Mrs. Mayuri Aavula for diet consultation.

This decision had turned out to be one of the right decisions for me in 2021.

Mrs. Mayuri listened to me and understood from where I am coming from. She went through the reports in details and tailored a "Custom diet plan".

She patiently explained the "Does & Don'ts", the nutritional aspects of the diet suggested and the importance of logging the daily intake in a excel.

In the next few weeks, I had couple of more consultations where in the diet plan was tweaked for better outputs.

After 3 months, I went in for diagnostic tests again. Shouldn't say "surprised" but felt really happy as the numbers were down by 20%.

My food habits have completely changed now. I am feeling light... I now think before I eat anything and more importantly, my BODY and my MIND are in perfect SYNC.

I know it is a long story but things are working for me....

I feel sticking to a proper diet is a journey and there shouldn't be any "STOP SIGN" to look for!!

This is the first time I had attempted to visit a Dietitian and trust me it was a great experience. I am waiting for the entire course of weight loss session to get over and I am sure I would be able to achieve the goal I have targeted with her help.

I realised how misguiding and dangerous it can be to google for diet plan and also realised that with proper diet plan we can heal ourselves to a greater extent. Due to my hectic work, my stress levels have gone up , during the challenging phase she had been a great support by sharing videos and talking to me which actually gave a sense of relief.

She completely surprised me with her friendly nature .
