Dr Karthik Mikkineni served as distinguished Faculty of the world-renowned Stanford University School of Medicine, Division of Vascular Surgery where he was well recognized as an outstanding expert in vascular disease management. He has remarkable academic and clinical productivity involving new and dramatically improved techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease. He is the first to perform a novel carotid treatment paradigm called TCAR in India. Having performed 100+ procedures in US, he now pioneers this technology and is ready to offer in India at RIVEA vascular institute. Dr. Mikkineni's research topics include abdominal aortic aneurysm and vascular conduits for bypass. He has published and authored book chapters on the surgical management of aortic aneurysms. His passion in care of vascular diseases led him to direct care and establishment of vascular services in India at AIG Hospitals, Mayo clinic care network Hospitals as part of Global Surgery in 2019.
He graduated as the Chief Resident of the Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency Program from Temple and Drexel University, Pittsburgh and has completed his internship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center and his medical degree from Guntur Medical College.
