He was selected as senior research associate for CSIR for one year.He also completed the prestigious AAPOS fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology & strabismus under the tutelage of world-renowned prof Eugene Helveston from Indiana university Medical Center Indianapolis,USA.He headed the dept of pediatric ophthalmology ,strabismus and neuro-ophthalmology at lv prasad eye institute from jan1998 to Feb 2006. Presently he is the director of Shreya eye care center at Hyderabad. He is a specialist in pediatric strabismus ,adult strabismus , and neuro-ophthalmology. In addition to his fellowship training, he also visited various hospitals in the USA .He is a present and past member of several prestigious international organizations including American academy of ophthalmology (AAO), American association of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus (AAPOS), international strabismology association( ISA), Andhra Pradesh state ophthalmic society and,Delhi ophthalmological society ,all India ophthalmological society(AIOS), Delhi ophthalmology society(dos) and strabismology society of India(SSI). He has lectured in various universities here in India and in the USA covering several topics of strabismus, amblyopia, congenital cataract and neuro-ophthalmology.He has published articles in peer-reviewed international journals and presented at various international meetings such as American academy of ophthalmology, the American association for pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, European strabismology association, Indonesian ophthalmology association, and at various national meetings of all India ophthalmology society, strabismology society, Delhi ophthalmology society and Hyderabad ophthalmology association. With all his clinical and academic experience, Dr. B.Venkateshwar Rao has ventured into his next stage by starting Shreya eye care center in march 2006 with a mission of providing cost effective treatment in the field of strabismus ,pediatric eye problems and neuro- ophthalmology.Presently he is the director of Shreya eye care center, Hyderabad.

My daughter was having lazy eye by jeans so some other doctors recommended venkateshwar Rao sir where he is paediatric ophamalogist so I came and attend him , doctor challenged before 16years ur daughter will not have glasses,now my daughter won't wear any glasses.it was in the year 2010 after all satisfaction and belief in sir I am telling this iam in 2023.bless to have this type of doctors around us.

We have visited Dr. Venkateshwar Rao sir when my daughter is 1.5years old as she has developed squint after 1 year of birth. Also the squint was progressive, So we visited Shreya’s eye clinic for understanding my daughter condition. Been in Hyderabad for over 4 decades and getting eye check up every year - so am aware of the good doctors all over the city. ***** ****** ** * ************ **** * ***** **** *** *** ******* *** **** *** ****** ******* My daughter aged over 5 years year was a challenge to any doctor as she would not cooperate. But once introduced to Dr Venkateshwar Rao, he proved such a charm and willfully cooperated and liked the doctor.
